ABOUT OUR LOCATION

The Boathouse is located in the township on Sconser on the Isle of Skye and looks out on to stunning sea views of The Sound of Raasay. Our property also has access to the shoreline where you can view a wide variety of wildlife including Birds, Dolphins, Sea Eagles, Seals and more. The Boathouse also has a private car park available for guest use with parking spaces for several vehicles.

The Boathouse sits on the very edge of Loch Sligachan with stunning extensive views across to the Island of Raasay, the Old Man of Storr, The Trotternish Ridge, the mainland & more. It is the ideal tranquil holiday base (centrally located) whether it be for pure relaxation or activity filled days...the Island is yours to explore.

 

Our self catering accommodation lies 12 miles from both of the main towns on the island, Portree and Broadford so is centrally located to see all the sights you may want to see. The Isle of Skye Golf course is a 5 minute walk away from the house, you can also hire clubs here.

 

Our property has regular visits from Otters and Seals and an incredible variety of sea birds. Binoculars and a Telescope are provided to allow you to enjoy the most of the local views and wildlife. The spectacular Cuillin mountains are just a few miles away with waterfall walks with mountain backdrops.
